22/03/2013 - A New Blog Series - Self-Publishing vs. Traditional Publishing: Which is Best?

So you’ve written a book. So you want to get it published. But you don’t know where to begin. With people giving opinions left, right and centre, it’s hard to know what’s the truth, what’s all lies, and what you should do next. I know. I’ve been there.

In mid-2011, I began writing my first book, titled The Joke’s on YOU! Back then, I thought it was the best thing ever written. I looked into all sorts of publishing, before deciding on self-publishing. I then did the same with my second novel, Rebel With A Cause. Both books were published in 2012, one at the beginning, one at the end. It was hard work, and I mean really hard work. Constant re-writes, edits, the pressure to get it done… It was hard. Looking back though, I think they should have been kept unpublished, despite some good reviews.

Now, after my experience with publishing, I’ve learned a few things about publishing a book (and writing one, of course). Since so many others have the same questions I did, I decided to share my knowledge of how to publish a book.

This is blog only at the moment, but when finished it will be submitted to a Wattpad Community Book Project that will hopefully help future authors.
